Q: How do I get a Poffin?
A: Poffins are available through MYO events, sales, and premade adoptables. The fastest way to get updates is through our Discord!
Q: Can I turn an existing design into a Poffin?
A: Yes, as long as you have the original designer's permission! To do so, please provide proof when submitting! Poffins based off of an existing design/with other cs aus cannot be separated from one another!
If your MYO is based on an existing design, please notify staff when submitting!
Q: Can I use my Poffin for commercial purposes?
A: You may not use your Poffin for full commercial purposes, but you are allowed to sell prints/charms/etc of your own Poffins! Merchandise and avatar models for personal or private non-commercial use are fine.
Q: How far can I go with special traits on a Special or Crossbreed Poffin?
A: As long as the design has the mandatory species traits + no fully illegal traits (see our written guide) and still is identifiable as a Poffin, you're free to go as wild as you want!
Q: Can I do a crossbreed of a Poffin with another closed species?
A: Yes! As long as you have a Special/CB Poffin slot and appropriate slot of the other cs as well as their permission, you're free to do a Poffin/other cs crossbreed! Please make sure to mark your submission as a Crossbreed in this case.
Q: Why are Poffins mixed with another closed species called CB Poffins and not Special Poffins, when it uses a Special slot?
A: Since a CB Poffin is mixed with another cs and has traits from that species, as well as making a CB Poffin taking 2 slots (1 Poffin, 1 other species), we wanted to make the distinction between the two!
Q: How long does it take for designs/edits to be approved?
A: Approvals can take up to 1 week (7 days). If it's been longer than this, please contact a staff member!
Q: Can I trade my Poffin?
A: Of course! We also have a dedicated on-site trading center and channel in the discord server for advertising in!
Q: Can I sell my Poffin?
A: You may sell your Poffin for the base value listed on their masterlist upload. If you would like to add personal or commissioned art to the value, please contact a staff member!
Q: Can I voucher my Poffin?
A: Yes! The same rules apply for resale.
Q: Can I be a guest artist?
A: From time to time, guest artist applications will open! Feel free to let an admin or mod know if you'd like to be pinged when applications open!
Q: Can anyone make customs?
A: Yes, provided the person purchasing the custom has a slot.
Q: Can I make Poffin adopts?
A: No! Only owners, mods and guest artists are allowed to make Poffins for sale.

Q: Do I have to follow Poffin lore?
A: No, the lore is all optional and just for fun!
Q: What time period does the Poffins lore take place in?
A: While not specific, it's definitely sometime in the future where inter-space travel has become normalized.
Q: Can I encorporate my Poffin into 'canons' from other media?
A: Yes, however the rule prohibiting copyrighted logos/designs and canon look-alikes still applies!
Q: Does my Poffin have to be from the homeworld?
A: No, if you choose to engage with the lore, your Poffin can still be from anywhere!
Q: Is Bobby the best cook? Does he even have a business liscense?
A: Yes.
Q: How does gene mixing even work?
A: It's intentionally left up in the air, you may decide how the result of mixed genetics came to be yourself, for whatever fits your storybuilding best!
Mechanics
Q: Is there a Poffin Shop/Currency?
A: You can find all of the currently available shops here! These shops, for the most part, use the species currency of Star tears.
Q: How do I earn Star tears?
A: Through random explore awards, completing prompts or events, or submitting to the gallery!
Q: Why do some Special Limited 1/Limited 2 Poffins have more than that amount of special traits?
A: These are Poffins that were approved before certain trait decisions were made and/or clarified. They do not need to have these traits changed or removed to have edits approved!
Q: My Poffin has a bunch of Illegal/retired traits!? Help??
A: Many of the 'microtraits' Poffins previously had were condensed into broader, 'umbrella' traits upon the V2 update! However, because of the amount of Poffins on the website, it'd take too long to manually update them all, especially considering their owners may be inactive. Follow this guide to get your Poffin migrated to these changes!
